A splendid new series of distinctively colored and formed Hellebores, the Winter Jewels are taking American gardens by storm. Offering large, perfectly shaped 3-inch blooms that remain attractive for weeks and even months, this series is the result of 15 years’ hand-selective breeding for deep, saturated colors, picotee edges, and collared form. We are proud to offer Purple/Pink Edge, one of the most distinctively different of the family.
Each rich purple bloom on this plant is neatly edged in pink, creating a two-tone look that is absolutely stunning. Stable edging is just about unknown in the Hellebore family, which makes this “pink picotee” all the more prized. The blooms open from dark fuchsia buds, revealing their purple interiors as they mature. Very abundant and beautiful, they add a formal note to the Hellebore garden.
